Shield

Radius had no idea what to do...
He just wanted to go home and be in his own bed than in this dank pitch dark room.  He trembled and tried to see at least something but it was too dark for any eyes to adjust to it. The room was completely lightless...
The blonde whimpered and rubbed his eyes with his little fists.  He tried his best not to cry, tried his very hardest...
   Luther woke up in the middle of the night, he looked down at his lover lying in front of him and frowned.  The poor boy was shaking. Luther gently placed a hand on Radius' cheek, feeling how clammy his pale soft skin was. He could tell right away that Radius was having another nightmare, the blonde had been struggling to sleep lately because of them.
   "Shhh..." Luther softly tried to soothe the boy without waking him, just wanting to take his fear and pain away. His large hand raked through his lovers soft blonde locks and stared down at him quietly.  Radius' trembling continued and he whimpered in his sleep, his face sad and scared.  
    Radius heard an odd noise and felt something in his hair, he whimpered and tried to get it away, he wanted to be left all alone and just have a chance to get out of this dark room without being hurt by whatever was inside with him. He mewled in fear and tried to crawl to the other side of the room, still feeling the touches on his cheek and hair...
    Luther softly sighed and frowned again when he heard a soft mewl emit from the young man. His hand slid down his love's slender arm and took Radius' small delicate hand into his own callused palms. "Shhh.." he repeated gently. "Its just a bad dream...it will go away" he whispered.
    The blonde boy felt something touch his hand and froze, he felt hot tears in his eyes and mewled again quietly.  He then faintly heard someone speak, but it was distorted from the darkness of the room engulfing it. He dropped his head and wailed quietly.
    When the young boy rolled over, Luther sighed and looked down, disheartened at first.  He then looked back up and his arms slowly slid over to Radius' frail body, wrapping gently around his torso, and sliding the boy until his small back rested on Luther's own front.  He caressed the boy and kissed his temple "Shhhh...Radius, I won't let them hurt you..." he whispered very softly into Radius' ear. "I'll protect you...you just need to let me..."
     "I won't let them hurt you..." Radius clearly heard it, and it sounded like Luther, he stayed still and his body felt warm, and he could feel himself relax a little. "I'll protect you..." He heard again and looked around almost frantically, he still couldn't see, but he felt something pulling him back. "N-No!" the young boy gasped and tried to fight the pulling.  "You just have to let me..." he heard again from behind him this time. He then suddenly felt a sense of calm spread through him, his breathing going level and the fear being sucked away.  Radius felt arms around him as the surrounding darkness slowly dissolved...
    Luther could feel Radius' breathing calm and change, and softly smiled against Radius' temple. He heard the boy softly croon with relief and sighed "There we go..." he spoke gently as his hand ran through the boys blonde hair. "Th-Thank you..." he heard the boy say sweetly, causing himself to smile "Anything for my Radius" he replied before tracing kisses along the petite jaw.
   Radius was in a state of pure bliss now, happy to find that he was safe... That Luther can protect him from anything, whether it be real or not...
